Hi all,
So my friend has a macbook pro that has a failing hard drive. By using my windows PC, can I take her hard drive, boot into acronis recovery, and recover her old hard drive into a new hard drive?
I know imaging isn't possible, but I should be able to clone it to a new hard disk and just pop the new hard disk into the mac book right?
Thanks,
-Wu

I don't think the mac os and file system observe the same geometry, boot sector rules, etc. So a restore might not get you a bootable sysem disk.
I think mac has it's own built in backup program. Can she restore from that?
